The Pantsir-C1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system is a short-range air defense system. Shell-C1 was created in 1994 and put into service in 2010. The anti-aircraft missile and cannon system Shell-C1 is designed to cover civilian and military targets, including long-range air defense systems, from all modern and promising air means attacks. The complex is equipped with a two-band three-coordinate radar station with a phased array antenna, as well as fast-firing automatic guns and radio-controlled missiles.
This large modern Russian Anti Aircraft System – NATO Code SA-22 Greyhound –
is a combination of short and medium range AA missiles and AA artillery.
About 200 units are in service with the Russian forces since 2012 and it has been
exported to several countries.
